A Faraday rotator mirror (or Faraday mirror) is the combination of a Faraday rotator and a mirror (reflector). If light is sent through any transparent device and then back again after reflection at a Faraday rotator mirror, one always obtains an polarization state which is orthogonal to the original state. That is useful for eliminating unwanted polarization changes, for example. Faraday mirrors are available in bulk-optical and fiber-optic form.
