A Faraday rotator mirror (or Faraday mirror) is the combination of a Faraday rotator and a mirror (reflector). If light is sent through any transparent device and then back again after reflection at a Faraday rotator mirror, one always obtains an polarization state which is orthogonal to the original state. That is useful for eliminating unwanted polarization changes, for example.
