Flexible optical fiber circuits optimize complex optical fiber routing with high fiber counts, addressing fiber management issues. Features include high fiber count in racks or on PCBs, flexibility, and lightweight design for SM or MM applications. The Optical Fiber Flex circuit, an Optical Circuit Board (OCB), accommodates numerous fibers and FO connectors, varying in shape, size, and thickness. Components are fixed on Kapton polyamide layers, using primary coated fibers of ≤250 µm. These devices are suitable for telecom satellites and other harsh environment applications.
