Where to Buy Fluoride Fibers

Fluoride fibers are optical fibers based on fluoride glasses, such as fluoroaluminate or fluorozirconate glasses. Their unique property is the transmission of mid-infrared light, making them suitable for spectroscopy and certain fiber lasers and amplifiers. ZBLAN is a common type of fluoride glass used in these fibers.
