Where to Buy Large Diameter Optics

OPTOMAN designs, develops and manufactures advanced, high accuracy and repeatability thin film coatings by ion beam sputtering (IBS) technology. By concentrating solely on IBS, OPTOMAN is capable of manufacturing large diameter (up to 360 mm) laser optics that feature low absorption and scattering losses and high laser-induced damage threshold in spectral range from 193 nm to 5000 nm. For mirrors, high reflectivity (up to R > 99.99%) and for anti-reflective coatings, high transmitivity (R < 0.05%) are feasible.

Knight Optical can provide a variety of custom optical components with large diameters including optical flats, infrared windows and lenses, mirrors, optical domes, and many more.

EKSMA Optics can manufacture custom large (up to ø 300 mm) optical lenses and mirrors with high power dielectric coatings, as well as metal-coated mirrors (silver, gold or aluminum) with diameters up to 500 mm.

A typical application of large aperture optics is in high-power/high-energy hertz (Hz) repetition rates systems for electron acceleration and high-field science. Here, the ability of the optics to withstand high average powers/energies is a pivotal requirement.

Our optics have been tested to withstand up to 90 J/cm² energy density.
