Where to Buy Optical Tilt Sensors

Optical tilt sensors (inclinometers) can be used for monitoring small angular changes. They can be based on different measurement principles, for example on fiber Bragg gratings or on position-sensitive detectors.

More general products: optical sensors

Related products: optical displacement sensors, fiber-optic sensors

Related product categories: detectors and measurements, applications

6 suppliers for optical tilt sensors are listed in the RP Photonics Buyer's Guide. Both manufacturers and distributors can be registered.

The newLight FS64 tilt sensor is suitable for measuring small angle variations. It can be used in a large range of monitoring applications such as sustaining walls, bridge piles, tunnels, or buildings. The measurement of tilt in different directions is possible with the use of multiple sensors.

Based on the newLight optical sensor line, the FS64 tilt sensor is a ruggedized Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) inclinometer designed to measure very small angle variations towards the vertical. The sensor uses two FBGs in a push-pull configuration for effective temperature compensation.

optical tilt sensors

The T520 is a high sensitivity sensor designed for monitoring the slow tilt / inclination of civil and geo structures. It is designed for mounting on walls or platforms. The T520 optical sensor consists of two fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing elements embedded in a traditional industrial grade tilt sensor frame. Self temperature-compensation combined with tight dimensional and materials controls yield a new generation tilt sensor featuring excellent wavelength to angle linearity.
