Photonic crystal fibers (PCF) are microstructured fibers with tiny air holes along the fiber axis.   • air clad fibers: pure silica multimode fibers with a large core diameter and ultra-high numerical aperture, particularly suited for power delivery and light collection for spectroscopy application from the visible range to the near-infrared
  • endlessly single-mode fibers, no exhibiting a high order mode cut off, ideally suited for mode delivery in the visible region and above: from 400 nm to 1700 nm
