Where to Buy Power over Fiber Systems
Optical fiber cables can be used for transmitting power from a source to some application without using any electrical connection. The transmitter contains a fiber-coupled laser diode, and the receiver a photovoltaic cell. One may for example power sensor devices at high voltage lines.
