Where to Buy Ultraviolet Light Sources
Ultraviolet light can be generated with various light sources such as gas discharge lamps. Depending on the used gas and its pressure, emission with narrow lines or spectrally continuous broadband radiation can be obtained. There are also various kinds of ultraviolet laser sources.

![]() YOUR KEY to innovation and success Am Coulombwall 1 85748 Garching Germany | ![]() UltraFast Innovation has developed a high harmonic generation (HHG) vacuum setup called NEPAL. It contains all required vacuum components (including the vacuum pump) and a fully motorized gas jet target for XUV and soft X-ray generation. One can generate isolated attosecond pulses through HHG by injecting suitable femtosecond laser pulses. The optical breadboard inside the chamber is isolated from environmental vibrations for optimum temporal and pointing stability. A feed-through with a noble gas inlet is included to supply e.g. argon, neon or helium for HHG in the spectral region of interest. |
![]() Leading in Ultrafast Kapteyn-Murnane Laboratories Inc. 4775 Walnut St. #102 Boulder, CO 80301 United States | ![]() KMLabs Hyperion VUV provides bright femtosecond pulses at numerous wavelengths across the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) region, from 6.0 eV (205 nm) to 10.8 eV (115 nm). The discrete tunability of the KMLabs Hyperion VUV vacuum ultraviolet source enables researchers to study a wide range of materials and materials properties. A simple computer-selected change of photon energy provides a powerful capability, previously only available at a synchrotron; this ability to easily change the laser wavelength can enhance many experiments. For example, in angle-resolved photoemission (ARPES) experiments, this tunability allows researchers to distinguish surface effects from bulk effects. For time-of-flight (ToF) studies of molecules, the tunability can distinguish otherwise identical isomers. Hyperion VUV is also highly focusable, and the appropriate optics can be used to reach spot sizes below 10 microns. |
