Where to Buy Vanadate Lasers
Vanadate crystal materials can be used as laser gain media. The by far most popular one is Nd:YVO4. It emits at about the same wavelength as Nd:YAG and with similar efficiency, but is suitable for low-threshold lasers and Q-switched lasers with shorter pulse duration and higher pulse repetition rate. Also, mode-locked vanadate lasers can produce shorter picosecond pulses.
