SHIPS TODAY: These fiber-coupled acousto-optic modulators (AOM) are designed to offer an optimal solution for amplitude modulation of laser light in a single mode optical fiber. They are offered for wavelengths between 750 nm and 1750 nm (most models are in stock). These fiber AOM’s are easy to use and offer direct control of the timing, intensity, and temporal shape of the laser output down to a few nanoseconds.

A fiber-coupled AOM requires an RF driver. AeroDIODE offers a range of RF drivers configured for either digital input (TTL) or analog input configurations. Additionally, the AeroDIODE TOMBAK pulse picker synchronization tool is offered for complex synchronization applications such as pulse-picking a mode locked laser.

SHIPS TODAY: These fiber-coupled laser diodes (for 1030 nm, 1064 nm, 1310 nm or any wavelength between 1250 nm and 1650 nm) are offered as stock items or associated with a CW or pulsed laser diode driver. They are compatible with our high speed nanosecond pulsed drivers or high power CW drivers with air cooling for the multimode high power laser diode versions. The single-mode laser diode can reach high powers up to 180 mW in the nanosecond pulse regime. Most turn-key diode & driver solutions are optimized for single-shot to CW performances with pulse width lengths down to 1 ns. The laser diode precision pulses are generated internally by an on-board pulse generator, or on demand from an external TTL signal.

AeroDIODE offers a wide range of solutions combining Fabry–Pérot fiber-coupled laser diodes and an efficient CW or pulsed laser diode driver. The user can adjust the temperature which adjust the emission wavelength over a wavelength range of more than 10 nm. Many butterfly laser diode models are available at many wavelengths such as 808 nm, 1030 nm, 1064 nm, 1310 nm, 1550 nm and 1650 nm.

AeroDIODE offers several tools to build a fiber laser efficiently and rapidly. Our fiber laser diode driver integrates two laser diode drivers, 6 photodiode electronics, a pulse picker synchronization tool and many other dedicated functionalities for nearly any type of fiber laser architecture. It allows you to develop a complete fiber laser prototype in only a few weeks. There is one “pulsed & CW” channel for seed laser diode and one “CW” channel for a pump laser diode. It is connected to other drivers in our range like our air cooled high power laser diode driver for >10–200 W pump laser diodes. It is compatible with any type of fiber laser architectures: mode-locked, Q-switched, MOPA with any type of seeder like EOM modulated diodes, gain-switched diodes, microchip laser etc.

SHIPS TODAY: These fiber-coupled laser diodes between 635 nm and 1650 nm are offered as stock items or associated with a CW or pulsed laser diode driver. They are compatible with our high speed nanosecond pulsed drivers or high power CW drivers with air cooling for the multimode high power laser diode versions. The single mode laser diodes (either Fabry–Pérot laser diode or DFB laser diode) can reach high power in nanosecond pulse regime up to 400 mW. Most turn-key diode & driver solutions are optimized for single-shot to CW performances with pulse width lengths down to 1 ns. The laser diode precision pulses are generated internally by an on-board pulse generator, or on demand from an external TTL signal. Many multimode versions are available with CW emission up to 300 W in a 200-µm core multimode fiber or up to 250 W in a 135-µm core fiber or 160 W in a 105 µm core fiber.

SHIPS TODAY: Pulse Picker is a synchronization tool for driving external modulation devices such as EOMs, AOMs or SOAs in a pulse-picking mode of operation. It has been designed to work with low level electrical or optical input pulse power like typically the signal coming from a photodiode. It includes 3 pulse picking modes (frequency divider, external triggering & high frequency clock, burst shaping): see our detailed application note for Pulse Picker.

The Pulse Picker board includes a software-adjustable input voltage level threshold and an (optional) photodiode. This board also includes a special AWG function synchronized with the input signal to perform burst shaping of mode-locked lasers.

The AeroDiode Tombak-DDG pulse delay generator provides high frequency pulses, delays, and bursts. It is an ideal testing and timing control instrument for electronics, lasers, or camera setup. The adjustable detection threshold is as low as a few mV. This makes it an ideal tool for detecting ultra-short pulses through a photodiode. The pulse delay generator offers several operating modes including stand-alone generator, digital delay generator, frequency divider, burst generator, pulse picker, voltage level converter and arbitrary waveform generator (AWG). It is often used in a fiber modulation setup with EOMs, AOMs or SOAs. Applications include component testing, laser timing control, laser pulse picking, camera synchronization etc.
