Products
Product category | Description |
---|---|
avalanche photodiodes |
The Models 7511B and 7510 are high gain low noise APD-preamp optical receivers. The compact construction (modified TO-8 header) and PCB mounting capability make them ideal for miniature applications. |
fiber-optic links |
The Model 732T/R is purely an analog device. The input signal is converted to a current and used to drive a LED. The output of the LED is detected by a photodetector in the receiver, converted to a voltage then amplified. The gain of the receiver amplifier is tuned to provide transparent transmission. |
lamp power supplies |
Flashlamp Electronics manufactured by AMI include capacitor charging power supplies, simmer supplies and turn-key controllers for variable pulse width flashlamp pumped lasers. Many of these products are certified to the IEC/EN 6060, 3rd edition medical standard. |
laser diode drivers |
AMI offers a family of diode drivers for high current and low current, CW and pulsed applications. AMI’s OEM seed laser drivers are ideal for driving 14-pin butterfly packaged laser diodes for use in CW or pulsed fiber MOPA systems. Featuring risetimes down to 100 ps and up to 50 MHz repetition rate. For high power diode stacks AMI offers up to 300 A, 280 V drivers. Turn-key diode controllers are also available. |
laser power supplies |
AMI has developed a family of power supply modules (capacitor chargers, simmer supplies, laser diode drivers) and turn-key controllers for fixed and variable, flashlamp and diode pumped solid-state lasers. Additionally AMI designs and builds custom complete OEM Pulse Forming Networks. |
laser trackers |
The Model 742DPis a new generation of laser spot tracker module with wide flexibility for missile and platform tracker applications. The detector is temperature controlled and optimized for 1.06 µm. Independent five channel noise detectors set the lowest thresholds to achieve long acquisition ranges for different background light and spot positions and special circuits resist sunlight blinding in any one or all quadrants. A range of N-type custom-designed detectors gives the highest performance at 1.06 µm. A separate substrate allows the detector size or type to be optimized for your application. Model 742DP comprises a hermetically-sealed temperature-controlled detector with a second printed board contains processing circuits. The individual channels are digitized with a high-speed A-D converter and output as a serial digital interface for steering. |
LIDAR equipment |
AMI personnel have extensive experience designing hybrid laser rangefinder receivers for military applications. Over 30,000 receivers have been fielded in handheld, tank, ground-mobile, TUAV, and airborne applications. AMI’s patented technology allows superior performance in dynamic range and rapid recovery from overload. The family of standard receivers offers products optimized for visible to 1.7 µm wavelengths over a wide range of pulse widths. |
photodetectors |
The 710 Series are high sensitivity, low noise photodetector-amplifier modules that offer the flexibility of incorporating a variety of silicon or InGaAs, PIN or APD photodetectors. AMI also offers the capability of integrating other detectors on a custom basis. |
photodiode amplifiers |
AMI designs and manufactures a range of transimpedance amplifiers for OEM, medical and research applications. AMI’s amplifiers combine low noise, high gain, large dynamic range, and small package size. The 311 Series are state-of-the-art precision amplifiers designed for current source input applications in which high gain and low noise are required. The 341 Series is the same amplifier with DC coupling. The Model 313A is a bipolar amplifier designed for current source input applications in which high gain and low noise are required. The design is optimized for high-speed response and has a lower input impedance than the 312B series, permitting operation with higher capacitive sources. |
Pockels cell drivers |
AMI’s line of Pockels cell drivers employs MOSFET technology which provides excellent noise immunity and a smooth output waveform. AMI’s OEM drivers offer reliable, high voltage pulsing in compact surface mount modules. These drivers include an internal high voltage power supply and provide a monitor to observe the high voltage output amplitude prior to the pulse. AMI’s Pockels cell drivers meet the stringent reliability requirements for medical and industrial applications. |
time-of-flight measurement devices |
AMI's series of rangefinder/processor assemblies comprise a high performance receiver with compact support electronics to provide corrected range data to a mother system. The serial range data output is calibrated using AMI’s patented technology to mitigate the effects of range errors from various sources including walk due to return signal amplitude variations. Exceptional sensitivity allows the use of low power lasers, or alternatively, long range operation. The modules provide high voltage bias, time programmed gain with noise tracking threshold, first, last, and strongest pulse selection and range gating. The compact layouts allow positioning at the optics for minimum overall system size. A variety of models are offered providing cost verses performance options. A non-ITAR module is also available. |
