Company Description

EKSMA OPTICS is a manufacturer of precision optical laser components, used in lasers, laser systems and in other photonic instruments. We have proven experience providing custom solutions and also offering a wide range of catalogue products for the fast off-the-shelf delivery.

The product range includes optical components, dielectric thin film coatings, DKDP, BBO and KTP electro-optical Pockels cells, laser and nonlinear crystals, optical systems, opto-mechanical mounts, motorized stages and tables. Components cover a wavelength spectrum starting from the UV (193 nm) through VIS to IR (20 μm) and the terahertz (1–5 THz) region.

The EKSMA Optics polishing facility specializes in the polishing of flat optics made of BK7, UVFS, Infrasil and also DKDP, LBO, and ZnGeP2 crystals whereas high quality precision polished faces are required for high power laser applications. Company also owns CNC grinding and polishing facility manufacturing spherical and aspherical lenses, as well as IBS coating facility.

anti-reflection coatings

In the EKSMA Optics IBS thin-film coating facility, we can design and produce complex low loss anti-reflection coatings to suit your application.

aspheric optics

Ex-stock delivery of standard plano-convex aspherical lenses made of N-BK7 or high refractive index N-LAH64 glass. We can produce custom design aspheric lenses in our CNC lens polishing facility. Lenses can be supplied with anti-reflection coatings to suit your particular laser application.

beam splitters

We offer Femtoline beam splitters designed to be used in femtosecond laser applications with fundamental wavelengths of Ti:sapphire and Yb:KGW/KYW lasers and their harmonics. Nd:YAG LaserLine beam splitters are designed for Nd:YAG Laser fundamental wavelengths and its harmonics.

custom optics

Production of customized laser mirrors, lenses, windows, prisms, filters waveplates and other polarizing optics. Wide range of optical materials and coatings.

dielectric coatings

EKSMA Optics IBS thin-film coating facility allows us to supply optical components with very precise high-damage-threshold dielectric coatings.

dielectric mirrors

We offer dielectric laser mirrors for fixed, narrowband or broadband wavelength applications covering UV, VIS and IR. Wide selection of round, elliptical or custom shapes as well as plano, spherical, cylindrical surface mirrors and substrates are available.

electro-optic modulators

We produce KTP, KD*P and BBO Pockels cells for applications like Q-switching of lasers, pulse picking, laser cavity dumping and coupling laser pulses into and from regenerative amplifiers. Our Pockels cells can be supplied with mounting stages, drivers, power supplies and electronics for pulse picking.

frequency doubling (nonlinear crystals and related equipment for …)

Nonlinear crystals for second harmonic generation include a wide choice of BBO, LBO, DKDP, KDP, KTP, crystals for quick delivery. We also offer AgGaS2, AgGaSe2, GaSe, ZnGeP2, LilO3, KTA crystals for SHG at IR and mid-IR ranges. Crystals can be also cut and optimized to your particular laser specifications.

We offer Femtokits – complete solutions for efficient third harmonic generation with femtosecond Ti:sapphire lasers. Wide choice of standard BBO, LBO and DKDP nonlinear crystals for THG in Nd:YAG LaserLine and FemtoLine chapters.

laser crystals

Laser crystals of various materials including neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG), Yb-doped potassium gadolinium tungstate (Yb:KGW), Yb-doped potassium yttrium tungstate (Yb:KYW), Nd-doped potassium gadolinium tungstate (Nd:KGW, titanium-doped sapphire (Ti:sapphire) are available from EKSMA Optics.

laser mirrors

Femtoline laser mirrors are designed to be used in femtosecond laser applications with fundamental wavelengths of Ti:sapphire and Yb:KGW/KYW lasers and their doubled, tripled or quadrupled frequencies. Nd:YAG laser mirrors are designed for Nd:YAG Laser fundamental wavelengths and its harmonics: 1064 nm, 532 nm, 355 nm, 266 nm.

lenses

Standard plano-convex, plano-concave, biconvex, biconcave, cylindrical lenses and lens kits made of BK7, UVFS or CaF2 optical materials. Lenses of custom design can be produced in our CNC lens polishing facility and later coated for your application.

metal-coated mirrors

Wide selection of various sizes of round, rectangular, spherical mirrors with protected gold, silver or aluminium coatings. Most of our metallic mirrors are available for quick delivery.

mirrors

Wide selection ofdielectric and metallic mirrors from stock. Precision custom mirrors can be manufactured upon request.

nonlinear crystal materials

EKSMA Optics offers a complete portfolio of nonlinear optical crystals: BBO, LBO, KTP, KDP, DKDP, LiIO3, LiNbO3, MgO:LiNbO3, AGS, AGSe, ZGP, GaSe, CdSe from stock or manufactured according to customers specifications or for specific application.

optical attenuators

Variable attenuators for linearly polarized laser beam with high performance optics are available for Nd host laser applications at 1040–1070 nm range and femtosecond applications with broadband Ti:Sapphire and Yb:KGW/KYW laser pulses.

optical windows

Wide selection of optical windows made from high quality fused Silica, BK7, calcium fluoride, barium fluoride, magnesium fluoride, zinc selenide and other optical materials.

output couplers (output coupler mirrors)

We offer a wide choice of laser output couplers designed for Nd3+ host lasers operating at 1040–1070 nm range and femtosecond Ti:sapphire or Yb:KGW/KYW lasers.

Pockels cells

We produce KTP, KD*P and BBO Pockels cells for applications like Q-switching of lasers, pulse picking, laser cavity dumping and coupling laser pulses into and from regenerative amplifiers. Our Pockels cells can be supplied with mounting stages, drivers, power supplies and electronics for pulse picking.

polarizers

Complete selection of polarization optics: thin-film polarizers, Brewster windows, cube polarizing beamsplitters, Glan laser polarizing prisms, Rochon and Wollaston prisms.

prisms

The EKSMA Optics optical prism product line includes wedge prisms, laser dispersing prisms, Pellin–Broca prisms, right angle prisms, corner cubes and non-polarizing cube beamsplitters.

pulse pickers

Femtosecond pulses can be picked from the train at up to 1 MHz rate using pulse picker UP1 and digital synchronization and delay pulse generator – pMaster 4.0H. The generator synchronizes lasers operating at up to 100 MHz rate with the Pockels cell driver and triggers it to launch λ/4 operation of Pockels cell.

thin-film polarizers

Wide selection of BK7 and UV FS thin film laser polarizers for quick delivery. Thin film polarizers feature high laser damage threshold and are designed for the most demanding applications with Nd host lasers operating at 1040–1070 nm range and femtosecond Ti:sapphire or Yb:KGW/KYW lasers.

waveplates

We offer a wide choice of zero-order, multiple-order and low-order waveplates made from crystalline quartz. Dual-wavelength waveplates for Ti:sapphire, Yb:KGW/KYW and Nd:YAG lasers. Achromatic waveplates for operation with tunable lasers.
