Company Description

NLIR provides innovative mid-infrared sensors. Our spectrometers have a unique combination of a fast full spectra acquisition, a sensitive minimum detection power and good resolution. Our uncooled mid-infrared detectors are shown to be more sensitive than cryocooled detectors. Our sensors are based upon a novel measurement paradigm converting mid-infrared light to near visible light. This enables the use of uncooled silicon-based sensors for detection of mid-infrared light. Our products target research groups at public institutes and private companies. As well as productions departments with a need of in-/on-/at-line MIR spectroscopy measurements across several industry sectors: oil and gas, polymer, food and agriculture, pharmaceutical, chemical, medical diagnostic and environmental.

Our D2250 2.2–5.0 µm single wavelength detector is super-fast (up to 10 GHz bandwidth) and ultra-sensitive (NEP of a few fW/√Hz).

Our D2250’s are based upon a new measuring paradigm where mid-infrared light is converted into visual light and then measured with conventional visual detector technology.

The S2050 2–5 µm fiber spectrometer has a unique combination of a super-fast full spectra acquisition rate of up to 130 kHz, an ultra-sensitive minimum detection power of 5 pW/nm and a resolution of 6 cm−1.

We also offer the S76120 prototype spectrometer for measurement of 7.6–12.0 µm mid-infrared light.

Our spectrometers are based upon a new measuring paradigm where mid-infrared light is converted into visual light and then measured with conventional visual grating spectrometer technology.

nonlinear frequency conversion equipmentS Enonlinear frequency conversion equipment from NLIR

Our U2050 2–5 µm fiber to fiber wavelength conversion module converts mid-infrared 2–5 µm light to 695–877 nm light enabling the mid-infrared light to be measured with low noise visual detector technology.
