Company Description
NLIR provides innovative mid-infrared sensors. Our spectrometers have a unique combination of fast spectral acquisition, high sensitivity and high resolution. Our uncooled mid-infrared detectors are shown to be even more sensitive than cryocooled detectors.
Our sensors are based upon a novel measurement paradigm, converting mid-infrared light to near visible light. This enables the use of uncooled silicon-based sensors for detection of mid-infrared light.
Our products target research groups at public institutes and private companies. As well as productions departments with a need of in-/on-/at-line MIR spectroscopy measurements across several industry sectors: oil and gas, polymer, food and agriculture, pharmaceutical, chemical, medical diagnostic and environmental.

This portable and versatile instrument is capable of capturing full spectra in milliseconds, making it suitable for both laboratory and field applications.

nonlinear frequency conversion equipment | ![]() NLIR's SPEKTRUM Wavelength Converter efficiently converts wavelengths from 1.9 – 5.3 µm in the mid-infrared to 682 – 886 nm in the visible/near-infrared (VIS/NIR). This conversion is simultaneous and does not require time lag or scanning elements. The output is compatible with standard fiber-coupled grating spectrometers or silicon-based sensors. NLIR's TUNE Wavelength Converter is optimized for high conversion efficiency within a narrow bandwidth, ideal for sensitive mid-infrared light measurements. It operates over a tunable range from 2.7 – 4.3 µm, with the converted light shifted to 763 – 853 nm, suitable for any fiber-coupled detector operating in these near-infrared wavelengths. The TUNE Wavelength Converter is particularly effective for detecting narrowband signals, whether weak or rapidly varying. It supports measurements with time-gated PMT, SPAD detectors, APDs, and high-speed PIN photodiodes. Now you can read mid-infrared data with your VIS/NIR spectrometer/detector. |

NLIR's BUNDLE Spectrometer offers fast and accurate spectral measurements in the MIR/MWIR range of 2.0 – 5.0 µm. When combined with high-end VIS/NIR spectrometers, it provides enhanced capabilities with readout rates of either 1.4 kHz or 130 kHz, a minimum detection power of 5 pW/nm, and a resolution of 6 cm−1. NLIR's CUSTOM Spectrometer can be tailored to meet specific requirements for spectral measurements in the mid-infrared wavelength range. |
