PowerPhotonic designs and manufactures optical components that enable you to optimize the effectiveness of your laser beam. Our components are extremely efficient and can handle high CW or pulsed powers. They are made from fused silica and can be designed to operate any where in the UV-VIS-NIR window.

We supply components into a diverse range of markets, including Macro (> 1 kW) CW laser material processing, Micro CW and pulsed laser material processing, laser projection, ophthalmology, and beam combining for directed energy applications.

beam collimators E

We design and manufacture standard and custom collimator micro-lenses in 1D and 2D arrays.

All products are made in high grade fused silica and capable of both high efficency and high power handling.

Lenses can spheric, ashperic or freeform due to our unqiue manufacturing process.

beam combining optics E

PowerPhotonic beam collimator arrays and/or beam shapers are often used in optical systems for beam combining. Our low loss and low scatter fused silica products are capable of very high CW (and pulsed) power handling.

beam homogenizers Ebeam homogenizers from PowerPhotonic

PowerPhotonic design and manufacture beam homogenizers made of fused silica for use with single mode beams and multimode beams. Multi-mode homogenizers maintain a Gaussian beam profile. However, PowerPhotonic can also design and manufacture homogenizers that change the beam profile and shape e.g. from Gaussian to top hat or to supergaussian or other custom shapes.

PowerPhotonic designs and manufactures a very wide range of beam shapers, including rectilinear, line, circle, ring and hexagon designs, and designs with a custom radial geometry.

coherent beam combining optics E

PowerPhotonic beam collimator arrays and/or beam shapers are often used in optical systems for beam combining. Our low loss and low scatter fused silica products are capable of very high CW (and pulsed) power handling.

We also manufacture phase correction plates to compensate for static phase offsets between beams. We can advise details of what wavefront scan data are required for PowerPhotonic to design and manufacture a custom phase plate corrector optic.

diffusers Ediffusers from PowerPhotonic

free form optics

PowerPhotonic manufactures truely freeform optical surfaces on fused silica wafers. This process underpins our standard and custom products. A freeform surface can be sent to PowerPhotonic to manufacture it using our LIGHTFORGE option.

PowerPhotonic design and manufacture Slow Axis Collimators (SAC) (including some with smile corrections) and Fast Axis Collimator Arrays (FACA). phase correction plates for restoring the intrinsic ex-facet brightness of the laser beam are also available.
