Universe Kogaku offers comprehensive project design cycle assistance by qualified lens application engineers. We provide your optimal lens solution by addressing all of your design considerations – from specs, to budget, to timetables – realizing that optics are not a stand-alone component. We understand electrical and mechanical requirements and integrate our lenses into your system with this in mind. Through this approach, custom lens designs from Universe can often reduce system cost by eliminating the need for other design components or modifications.

Complete custom design capabilities from concept to prototype to production provide ideal solutions for unique designs. We have full plastic optics capability for both lenses and barrels. Our facility contains the best in lens manufacturing and inspection equipment including a spectrophotometer, video MTF bench, laser interferometer, optical collimator bench, in-house single and multi-layer coating, full computer-aided lens and coating design and much more.

Universe Kogaku offers standard and custom CCTV lens assemblies for image capture, barcode scanning, night vision systems, medical systems, high-speed imaging, machine vision and robotic vision.

A full line of C and CS style CCTV lenses is available from stock – all formats, including hard to find 1″ optics. These are premium all-glass lenses, many of our own design and manufacture. We carry many specialty lenses as well, including right angle, pinhole and motor or manual zoom.

We also provide filters, step rings, and many adapters to meet your C-mount imaging needs. As always, Universe is willing and able to perform any custom barrelling or aperture changes that you require.

Universe Kogaku offers various lens filters and accessories, specifically UV and IR band pass filters for use with our UV quartz lenses.

Universe Kogaku offers a full line of mounts and accessories to integrate many combinations of lenses and cameras.

Universe Kogaku offers UV lenses and lens design for electronics, optics, medical and precision industrial applications. For example, we have deep UV lenses optimized for 250 nm wavelength, available from stock with focal lengths from 6 mm to 105 mm.

We have designed and manufactured these lenses as a reasonably priced solution to the growing need for imaging outside the visible spectral region. Owing to the broad transmission range of the elements, this family of lenses can transmit well in the infrared spectral region as well.
