At Vortex Optical Coatings Ltd we design and manufacture visible and infrared filters, dichroic filters and IR linear variable filters. We operate from 300–6000 nm. We also have a fast turnaround anti-reflection coating service (the best in the industry!). We aim to be quick to respond to enquiries and are way ahead of industry standard lead-times. Problem solving fast prototypes, long term contract/call off supply and reverse engineering of legacy filters are other services we offer. | dichroic mirrors | Our dichroic beamsplitters tend to operate at 45° angle of incidence in a system and are used to split off 2 bands/wavelengths at right angles. We design and manufacture custom dichroics as well as offering some common solutions in our web shop. |
| hyperspectral imaging instruments |  Vortex support hyperspectral imaging applications in the IR by supplying infrared linear variable filters (LVF). We make custom LVF, but the web shop also contains some standard LVF for specific bands which can be used for lab tests to get a flavour of the technology. |

| optical filters |  We offer a complete design and manufacture service for optical filters from 300–6000 nm, all deposited using sputter deposition to ensure excellent environmental properties, adherence to very demanding optical requirements and a cost effective solution. Prototype volumes to many tens of thousands all covered. |
| optical windows |  We supply anti-reflection coated windows, 'make complete', for low and high volume applications. |
| spectral beam combining optics |  We make custom beam combiners within the band from 300 to 6000 nm. We guarantee prompt and expert advice for your particular application. |
